We couldn't leave the Grand Canyon without visiting the Desert Watchtower, one of the five structures on the canyon's South Rim that architect Mary Colter (1869-1958) designed. The tower is 70 feet high, and you can climb to the top via spiral stairs inside.
The inside stairwells are decorated with rustic-looking pictographs (is that the correct application of the term?) that look as if they were taken from local native lore. I don't know the story behind them, so I had to make up my own.
This one is "Attack of the Chicken-Rabbit Deer."

That tower looks really neat. I like the shot looking down.
I visited that tower in October but sadly didn't have time for taking in the wall art, as I was in the throngs of morning sickness. I love your translations!
