Rusty Old Things

Last week we played with the camera, photographing a bunch of old heavy machinery. It was all parked in one spot. Most of you have been there, but chances are you weren't thinking about defunct equipment at the time.

The VZ boys

The VZ boys (nephews, cousins) are here from Michigan with their grandparents. The VZ boys are 13 and 11. Between the two, they have braces, shoes with roller-wheels on the bottom, trick card decks, mismatched socks, and massive reserves of volatile, multidirectional, joyous enthusiasm.

Our favorite quote of the visit so far: "Uncle Karl, you're pretty buff. How much do you bench?"

The pasta tastes good with green peas, of course.
