Feel the Power

It's been a while, but of course we've been busy.

For spring break we flew to Brighton, MI to see the Total Package's family.  We had a lovely time. That week spring finally visited the upper Midwest, and the boys played with their grandparents and cousins, and we didn't take a single family picture. Because we're dorks.

So, this post will be similar to the last one: photographs of words.  The evening after I posted last time, we ate Chinese takeout and opened our fortune cookies (of course before we were finished eating).  Two of the little fortunes were keepers:

I don't know, I mean, last year was just all about my hair.  This next fortune is the best, though. It made us roar.  Later that night, Happy Meal handed it to me when I was being annoying:

A couple hours ago, I found this school paper crumpled on the floor, near the place Happy Meal dumps  his school books.  All I can think is that his teacher laid down a few STRICT RULES before the kids (ahem, boys) started this science project.

Unless there are more pages in the comic book, it seems the teacher dodged that bullet, so to speak, but I plan to ask Happy Meal when he gets home.

I found this sign in a local resale shop, and because it belongs in my kitchen but clashed with the wall color, I spent last week painting my kitchen.  (The green part stayed, by the way.  In fact, I freshened it up with another coat of the same.)

To replace the existing ivory paint, I chose a Miller color called Poseidon's Beard.

There's Poseidon. Oh! That's a photo from Detroit, so I did take pictures on our trip.  That's the Total Package's shoulder; we were eating dolmades and spanikopita at The New Parthenon in Greektown.

I did not paint that aqua color.  Miller paint believes Poseidon's beard is a pretty gray.  The kitchen looks great, and the sign's going right above the wall ovens, near the ceiling.
